I spend a little time every summer up in Maine and have been meaning to make some of these for while. I liked the painted look better and it allowed me to save money on the wood. Both based on the classic NYW design. My dog even helped to make them by keeping a small corner of my shop floor warm for me. The table is just a little something I whipped up and my wife painted to put the Geranium on.

Chris, be careful. Once you make these and have the templates you will find youself making them over and over again for friends and family. I am up to 12 now.

I’ve been wanting to make one these for some time now. Now I can see want I’ve been missing. I like the idea of painting to save money and they look great. A painted one will out live me anyways. Nice project and Great workmenship. You’ll enjoy these to many many years. Thanks for showing them.

Look great painted up. I have made several of these based on the same pattern but changed the seat support angle for top and bottom slat support to make the chair even more comfortable.
