Sometimes it’s the simple projects that bring the most joy. For my son’s 10th birthday party I took a sheet of 1/4” plywood and cut out some 18” x 14” shield shapes. I sanded them and eased the edges. Drilled some holes and attached some rope with cable ties for handles. The boys panted them as the “opening craft” at the party and got to take them home with them.
(Yes, if you look close at the handle detail picture there are extra holes…I should have made sure I had all the shield facing the same way when I drilled the stack for the handles….)

Very nice and a great project. It brought back memories of when I made a shield for my son about 20 years ago.

Fun fun fun! I made this “Deku” shield for my cousin’s son – a last minute Christmas gift she requested. (Deku Shield apparently comes from the Zelda video game?

gifts of the heart are THE BEST! congratulation,if you got six kids away from their video game long enough to decorate the shields ,you should recieve “the worlds best parent award”.
