This is my second attempt at raised panel doors. I created my own jig for my Delta Unisaw to make raised panel doors on the table saw. These are the largest doors I’ve made in raised panels. The first attempt was considerably smaller. My 14-year old son and I worked on this off and on for about a year and a half. It was nice to finish it and bring it into the house this last fall (2007). It was made with solid oak from Amish country in Northern Indiana.

Great job! I have only made small raised panels. Did you find these to be any more of a challenge than the smaller ones?

Chris, they’re a little more of a challenge, mainly because the bigger they are, the harder they are to handle. As long as they’re straight blanks, the technique is the same as a smaller one.
