Well after five months of on and off working, it is finally finished. 52”x28”x51”
Made of white oak. Going to add two more handles to the bottom false drawer fronts. Finished with three coats of cherry stain, four coats of low gloss danish oil and three coats of low gloss poly. All hand rubbed!
Thanks for looking!

Great piece Matt.

How was the tambour made? I mean is routed, with wires, or cloth glued.

Thanks guys, she took me for ever to finish! It was going to be my girlfriends Christmas present. Couldn’t finish it, then it turned out to be her birthday present!

Greedo- I drew up my own plans. I couldn’t find plans that would fit into the space but also had the characteristics she was looking for.

I love it! Did you buy the tambour or make it? I WILL build a similar desk one day.

I made it myself. It was fairly simple. You just have to do lots of planning! Thanks.
