A friend of mine saw the work I did on a moose and asked me if I could create a special project for her dad. He collects Victrolas and she said that he and his dog are inseperable. I came up with an idea. I took a single photo of the dog. and the old RCA Victor ad that featured “Niper”. I Photoshopped Niper out and replaced him with her dad’s dog, “PITA”. Since PITA was female, I change it from “His Master’s Voice” to “Her Master’s Voice.
The photo is somewhat decieving in that the Oak grain is not as pronounced as it appears in the photo. In hindsight I should have used Maple Plywood.

It measures 23” x 32” (About 3 weeks in my spare time.) No Staining. Cherry, Walnut, Hickery, Yellow Heart and Maple.
The lettering was done thrugh a special trick I came up with years ago. It is NOT burned into the wood.

This item is a ONE OF A KIND !

Love it, very creative. I would love to learn your trick on making the lettering.

You’ll suppliment your income and surpass your expectations of what you’ll expect to make indeed! You are one of the best intarsia worker around.!It takes a lot of concentration to do intarsia to keep up with all the pieces and keep puting them back in place as you go through all the steps it takes to do a project.Makes you a puzzle expert as the puzzle keeps changeing on you as you progress thru all the stages of the project and you have to learn it all over again and again, from my experiences!Keep up the great work ,you’ve got a new fan ,me!
