Lovely twig basket and thanks for the pictures at different angles and one corner closeup. Chamfering the ends to avoid peeling is something I have learnt. The dimensions are very nicely chosen. Do you drill holes before nailing here also?

Pawpaw wood resists splitting, so I don’t need to pre-drill holes for the nails. That is why I specialize in using pawpaw wood, mainly for decorations. I’ve only met one other crafter that routinely uses pawpaw wood. He was descended from the Shawnee tribe in Eastern Ohio.
