Just thought I would put this picture up. I don’t have a shop space right now and don’t know when I will get around to finishing it. Sheratan writing desk. Walnut with curly maple. Lots of crazy grain in the walnut. All traditional joinery, turned all the legs, hand cut dovetails, etc. Will hopefully finish it and post some detail pictures then.

Really sharp, man. Very dignified piece with great figure on the drawerfronts.

Good looking desk – Is this in a class? I see a couple other desks in other woods too…yours?

Looks very nice, beautiful walnut. I’ll be looking for this one with the finishing touches.

thanks, yeah the grain on the drawer fronts is great. You cant see in that picture but the top of the writing surface and the top of the gallery have tons of crotch on opposing corners, It should really pop. Also i will most likely pop the curly maple with some transtint.

Nice work, the wood selection is superb. Did you do this in the Three Month Furniture Intensive?
