Nice table. I think an under bevel would be inkeeping with the asian style. In other words bevel the
underside and not the top. A big bevel. It will make the top look lighter.

I love the taper of the legs. The bevel would work.

I like the underbevel idea, but I would do something on top as well….. It looks like the legs have a slight round-over, and I would make the top edge match that.

I think an underbevel is a good idea, I had been toying with that a little. As soon as I can scrounge up some nice mahogany, I’m going to throw together a sample and get y’all to vote on it or something. I’m probably going to have a red oak field with a beefy mahogany band around the edge. Thanks, guys!

I couldn’t help but notice how similar your table is to one I bought. It has an underbevel of sorts. I like the form. thought it might give you an idea.
