S-s-s-spoon is from the same piece of macadamia wood as was the ‘mac’ spoon but the color is 10 shades lighter.

The Cat Burglar spoon is from maple, his mask is incised and painted, his whiskers are fiber optic strands, eyes are ‘jewels’ (he’s a thief), and the spoon bowl ‘sack’ is tied off with waxed cord.

The Shack spoon is from the same piece of witch hazel as the witch spoon… in fact it was the piece that came from the bandsaw cut-out (that’s why it is the same shape). I first tried to cover the roof with pine needle ‘shingles’ but that was a complete failure, then I tried soaking peanut shells and cutting out little tiles but that went south as well. So, I ended up just scratching the roof for texture.

None of them turned out the way I intended… but, I’m on to the new ones.

Thanks for taking the time….

Couldn’t pick a favorite- love them all.
Very unique and different.
That snake spoon – great likeness, the cat burglar spoon fun and whimsicle, the shack is just too cute. (and I like the end result of the roof)
Do you sell them?

S-s-s-super cool. Nice job. I like the s-s-s-snake one best. I could never make one for my wife though, because I’d be s-s-s-sleeping outside, after she s-s-s-slapped me, of course.

Thanks for the kind and funny comments. Theresa, yeah, I hope to sell some of them. I’ve got maybe 20 of them made so far this year and hope to try doing an arts and crafts show in the fall… if I can figure out the booth stuff. Don’t know just yet what the interest will be but I hope it pays for the show. I’m having fun with it though…..

More beauties….................

Super projects, that snake is awesome.

Best of luck on any craft shows. Just remember, your work is unique and rare, ask a fair price.
