This is a small play table which I used some extra pieces of wood for. The top was made from one long board that had cracked down the middle. I cut that in half and then broke the pieces apart, planed them and sanded them down. What made it more fun was the size and how easy it was to move the project around while working on it. However, now I’m thinking of doing a full size table like this, maybe with some different colors or stain.

Whimsical! can’t wait to see a full size table. I think It wood look cool to mix natural wood like walnut and maple or oak.

Cool idea JT – I will definitely look at split wood differently from now on.
