That’s really fun. Is it actually carved on the end of the log? If it is it must have been a real bear to carve, up on a ladder/scafold or whatever. Great stuff.
PS anywhere near Homer? Had friends that tried living there 5-6 years (Wayne & Kelly Thompson); they just moved back down to Denver a few months ago…praying their house in Homer will sell soon.

Stephen it was carved on the end of the log, It sits at about 10’ from the floor of the pourch, and just before sitting the log in place I realized that pointed straight out off the end of the log one could not see any features. So I cut the head off at about a 10 degree angle and remounted.
And yes I am about 70 miles from Homer, but do not know your friends.
