This is a coffee table with a recessed top so I could arrange the corks around the Virginia Tech symbol. The VT symbol is made from the composite corks painted in VT colors. The entire top is covered in .250” Lexan.
My youngest son worked for an Italian restaurant while in high school and collected a lot of corks. No one cork repeats more than four times. We gave it to him on his 21st birthday at Virginia Tech.
We told him there was a hidden message on one of the corks (second picture).

Very cool idea. Another great use for wine corks. I have made a bunch of frames with them for friends. Once they see our’s they have to have one. I tell them it takes over 100 corks, to get drinking. The more wine you drink at our house the quicker you get yours LOL
Nice idea in this table.
