This is one of my most recent projects for our church. I’ve volunteered to make a Faith Chest for each infant/child that is baptized. The family can store all their child’s items they collect along his/her “Faith Journey”. I leave them unfinished so they can finish them as they like.

Here’s a finished Faith Chest using Early American stain and Deft satin clear coat. I’m working on a chest this week that will be finished just with the clear coat. I’ll upload a picture when it’s done.

That’s kind of cool….what are the overall dimensions on it? Hard to get a sense of scale from your pics.

Thanks for an idea. I am making an urn for my sister in law and the cross on the box caught my attention.
Very nice and just the right touch. The remains come in a container about 4×5 x 10 and the sealed bag is inside.
google info says allow ie; 200 sq. in for a 200 lb person. if you were to not use the container just the sealed bag. Also as my wife is the Pastor I would like your idea and maybe you gave me a start on something for baptisms or new members. Please read my site for some ideas and projects. Thanks again.
