Maple table that I made to fit over my Siberian husky’s dog cage. I should have designed it a little less chewable because, as you can see, he chewed the corner already… gotta love dogs. He also chewed the plastic tray that is supposed to be at the bottom of the cage, now I have to get another plastic tray. But on a positive note, the table makes the cage much stronger and I can now put stuff on it.

I got my dog to quit chewing wood by putting hot sauce on it. Good idea for the cage, they take up so much room, and you made good practical space out of it. Thanks for sharing it!

Cool idea, Kyle!!

He will probably out-grow the chewing thing.

LuckysWifey, Thanks

Woodenworld, thanks for the tip. I also saw this sour apple spray you can use to make dogs stop chewing. I might have to try it some time.

Lew, I hope he does. He probally will though, because he is only 1 year old, so he is still a puppy.

Is he a dog or a “pup”. If he’s a pup, he’s supposed to chew up things. That’s what they do. Give him some things that he can chew on and maybe he won’t chew what he’s not supposed to. And I’m sure that would be a lot of stuff…..... to keep him busy for a while. rawhide, fake bones, there’s all kinds of stuff out there. Looks like a good pup. Give him a chance. That is a very good use of space. I would try something like that.

nice use of space.
Cayenne pepper powder worked on our baseboards, got the dog to stop chewing on them!

Nice work, we tired out my lab and then flooded her with chew toys rotating them weekly so it semed new to her. Had a malmute growing up in Michigan. Good luck!
