I have been watching Lumberjocks for about three weeks now and I am amazed at what you can do with wood. I am new to woodworking but I thought this podium turned out very nice. This is my second project. This is a project I made with a friend. I lost touch with him after High School. I moved to alaska last july, what do you know, He was living here. After more than 15 years and we both have a love of woodworking. We made this out of maple and cherry. I finished it with three coats of danish oil then a coat of past wax. I never used the wax before but I really love how it feels.
