End Table

The top pattern of this table was made using oak flooring. It turned out to be harder than I originally thought it would be. The flooring was tongue and groove and the side with the groove turned out not to be straight; rather it had a slight curve that matched up with the tongue side. This caused problems when turning the pieces perpendicular and attempting to fit them up against each other. In the end, I was able to do a little trimming to the pieces and it came out very nice. The hinged top design provides a nice place to hide TV remotes and other small items.

Very cool table, I love old hardwood flooring. I had mixed feelings when we moved into our house and tore up the old carpet to reveal this beautiful Oak flooring. It was just too beat up and full of holes to repair.
