i made an air cleaner from an old window unit i had . i took out the motor which has a fan on the air out side and a squirrel gage on the air in side mounted it in a mdf box with a filter on both ends . the top is removable in case i need in there . i have to change the filter every day so i need to do something a little different with the filter.

I use the exact same filter in mine but I use mine as a pre-filter. I have one of those higher efficiency filters stacked directly behind it. it might be something to consider.

It amazes me how much dust one of these gets out of the air. I think yours with the dual fans should do a great job.
