Oak spindle headboard

Headboard I made at the request of my wife. She wanted it to closely match an antique end table and dresser in the room. Used some old, unused stair rail spindles that had been given to me a few years ago and were taking up space in the garage. First time I’ve strayed from mission style (as in nice straight edges) and creating some shapes/curves. The quilt on the bed is one of my wife’s creations. (a serious competitor for my wood budget!)

A good piece of work. Curious about what the night stand looks like. . . ?

Hey, we are in the same boat. My wife is a quilter too. I don’t even ask about what she spends, because all of her projects turn out to be beautiful, and it helps keep things balanced when I want to buy something. Nice job on the head board too by the way.

Have your say...
