The Barry Project
Kitchen/ Addition/ Whole House Remodel.

The white cabinets are made of glazed painted maple and the island is stained knotty alder. The drawers are dovetailed solid maple with Blum self closing under mount slides.

There is a white “authentic”porcelain farmers sink in the peninsula which was a 4 hr. nightmare to install.

The floor was 1 1/2” out of level and the outside wall bowed in 1 1/4”.
The white cabinets had to scribed perfectly to the rolling floors considering the cabinet’s open toe kick with feet.

We cheated on the install in 5 different spots to make up for the angles but you would never know.

Note: A hearty shout out to Mark Onsgard for stepping up and succeeding in a difficult install. Good job.
The Addition included extensive trim in the cupola, columns and wrapped beams

A fireplace mantel

Entertainment Center

Walk in pantry with simple shelves

Locker Cabinet

And a basement rec. room with cedar closets and a new 2 1/2 car garage.
I wanted to take better pictures but as usual, the client wanted to load the cabinets and counter tops with tons of stuff as soon as the last drop cloth was picked up.
I didn’t make much on this job, but that’s OK, it was worth it. The clients were great (good reference) and everybody worked together smoothly and brought their A game. No mistakes.
I believe profit should never dictate the outcome of a project in motion just because someone under estimated.
Keep track, Learn from it, and make it up on the next one. That’s what I do anyway.
Nice job.

Mark,
Your workmanship is splendid. So much detail in the design work, too. And, yes, we can imagine the headaches of an install with things so far out of level or plumb. We’ve been there, too! ;-(
Thanks for sharing.

Amazingly beautiful kitchen. Congratulations on getting the ball in the end zone. Sounds like you had a real challenge here.
