Made these items for a silent auction fundraiser for a co-worker. Her husband was diagnosed with a very serious illness.
pic #2 – 17.5” x 12” cutting board from Walnut, Hard Maple and Purpleheart
pic #3 & 4 – Bread & Oil board from Walnut and Maple with Maple accent stripe. Handles are from Lowes, I drilled a 1-7/8” x @3/8” deep hole that the bowl sets in, to make it more stable. This was my first Bread & Oil board.
pic #5 & 6 – Cheese slicer using Walnut , Cherry, Purpleheart, Maple, and Hickory
All finished with Watco Butcher Block Oil and Finish (some thinned with M.S. some straight)
Thanks for looking.

Scotty, nice idea for a silent auction donation and great work on the boards themselves! I see you’re a UK guy, wish they’d have gone easy on my Gamecocks last night (30pt loss!).

Scott, these are some good looking boards. I am sure they did well in the auction.

Very nice, love the bread and oil board. I’m going to have to give that one a shot.
Have your say...
