Project Information
In between working on commissions I always toy with something else. It partly explains why I have so many unfinished projects standing around! Sometimes I loose interest because the piece just doesn't appeal to me a few days down the line… I might chop and change at some point…I've even scrapped a few. Some do get completed like this one but I am never truly satisfied with the results….the creative process can be extremely frustrating to me at times!
The chair with no name consists of 6 pieces of 18mm Pine plywood, biscuit jointed together. Once the patterns have been established it can be built very quickly. That was part of the idea: design a contemporary chair that is very economical to produce. Let's call this one the production prototype!
I have since decided that the Pine look doesn't work for me. A paint spray job is on the cards. Maybe just a plain white and then add an upholstered seat insert to spice it up a little.
Any suggestions for a name? Comments, critique and suggestions will be appreciated. Give it to me, I can take the punch!
