Looks great. You need to do a detailed instruction when you are making another one. It would be very informative.

Really nice segmented turnings, Mike! They are very nice! I’ve been “jigging” up to make some myself. Thanks for showing these. Can you suggest any resources, books, videos, etc to learn more about this type of turnings? I’ve read Tibbets book and was wondering if there were others.
Cheer!

Wow Mike, those are incredible. I too would appreciate some details on the process of making the segments.

Thanks everybody for your comments. When I start the next one I will document it and write a blog on the different steps.
Tom: If you have Malcolm’s book you have the best one out there IMHO. However here are a few more you might want to check out:
Bill Kandler at www.segmentedturning.com
Kevin Neelly has a lot of informatioin at: www.turnedwood.com
The software I use is Woodturner Pro at: www.woodturnerpro.com
Odie: I checked out your site. I think you are ready to try one of these now.
I modified my Dubby jig to cut out the segments and I will post a blog on it as soon as I get time.

WOW,
You inspire me with your art and your craft, it is God’s gift to you, and us that we may see it and share it.
I know God is pleased with your tribute to him with your beautiful artwork.
Very Well Done.
P.S. I hope I did not offend anyone here with the mention of God, but that’s just how I see it.
Cheers,
Neodon
