Hope you all don’t mind a little bragging.

My work was chosen for the cover of the most recent Lee Valley tools catalog. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had my work published in a good number of magazines, written lots of articles, too, but a cover has thus far escaped me. I’m very excited, and flattered at the same time.

Congratulations! At one time there was a forum topic on the site, started by Ms DebbieP I think, where you could comment on your print accomplishments. You should brag a little more on that thread and bring it back to the top.

Those are awesome. You might need to change your signature line, somehow I don’t think “just another woodworker” fits your skill. Congratulations on the cover. Oh, and I think it was Dizzy Dean or maybe Yogi Berra that said “it ain’t bragging if you can do it” Well, you can do it.

Congrats

Forgive me but at first I thought the one looked like a very cool shoe horn?

What kind of wood might that be?

I often save the covers of that mag and put them in my scrap book.

When I got my catalogue in the mail, I thought that the spoons looked familiar—your “slither” and the photo of the spoon and fork??

I didn’t bother to look further.. but now.. why… you brag and I’ll brag—I’m going to tell everyone that this is a LumberJock’s work. Yup.. going to carry the catalogue with me!!!!
Congratulations (and yes.. go to the autograph page please and add it to our list)

I’m so excited. Do you have any buttons left on your shirts?

I’m convinced you’re a fantastic woodworker, but HOW did you get someone like a tool company or Smithsonian to consider displaying your work?? Do you just send pictures and say “I think you should display this” ??

Not knocking your skills, but I find it statistically impossible to make one’s work stand out above thousands of others’ work in such a way. Let us know!!

Congrats
