This is another box that has the fine veneer strips through the sides and lid. I liked the contrast between the different wood.
The veneer strips in the lid followed the grain pattern in the Australian Cedar and are not so profound as the earlier box that was made from walnut and huon.

Beautiful box, Ruddy. I am a box addict, too. I have looked over all your posts, and this is my favorite.

Very nice – the beveled front and the corner details are outstanding!

Beautifully done, Ruddy. The corner pegs tie it all together so well. Nicely balanced and shaped. Well done.

I really like the lines on this box and the wood combination. The “extended” front ties in perfectly with the lift, very nice.
This is my favorite of your boxes, even though I love your walnut box as well.

I have never been aroused by a box before, but that is just plain sexy.
