Arr Me Maties: Boat Bed

This is a version of my boat bed. The customer wanted a pirate themed bed. I actually built one similar to that (see example) This customer seen it but wanted to add a little extra. First off we added the port holes. These are 6” ports with mirrors behind them. They also wanted the railing around the headboard. We did the mast, but this time I added a cross bar. The last change was the crows nest. It was completed in February 2011.

The finish was a flat black lacquer and Red Mahogany stain by Minwax.

Great boat bed, Chris. I particularly like the addition of the crows nest. But the boy still needs to hang the ol’ Jolly Roger on it.
