Poplar bodied birdhouse with a shingled roof made from 111 flattened Perrier bottle tops. The pictures turn out a little fuzzy.

This is a very cool idea! Did you nail them on or just glue? Is there a secret to flattening them or just hit them with a hammer?

They were fastened with a pneumatic stapler. The soft aluminum caps flatten easily with a square hit from a dead blow hammer. Much easier to flatten over beer caps.

That is a great idea! I’m gonna use it. My daughter and I build birdhouses once and a while. She just asked what am I ever going to do with those bottle caps. Now I know. Thanks for posting.
