An experimental box, made from an old broken-down clothes drying rack, a drawer side, a scrap of Oak, and a mess of 1/8” dowel…
I’m mildly amazed at how quickly this one went together… excluding finishing, start to finish was just under ten hours…
Comments and/or criticism always welcome!!

Mike, that is a great box. What size is it?
Also great that it is recycled. :)

Thanks Ellen and Jamie…
I had to go measure it… it ended up roughly 9”X 5”X 5”...

Thanks Mike,
it is a great use of thin pieces of wood
I’m always parallel cutting boards and they normally go to some friends for pen blanks
This has so many possibilities. Nice one

Good box, Mike. For some reason it reminds me of childhood seaside holidays.

I really like the idea of making something out of something else. And those signature hinges of yours are great.

Nice job Mike, your boxes always have an artistic touch to them, and your hinges are always done very nicely. That’s a neat idea to use the pieces as you did. Thanks for sharing

The box is really nice and original Mike. I am a little concerned about the safety of the remaining drying racks out there though, lol.
