This is a toy I made for my nephews 1st b-day. It was my first try at bent lamination and it went pretty well. I used cherry and maple for the bent lamination. The clackers are maple, purpleheart, walnut and cherry. The handle is a walnut dowel. It was finished with oil and wax. I also made another clacker that can just be rolled on the floor.

The idea was taken from woodentoy.com

Looks great, but have his parents disowned you yet? What’s next… a drum set? :-)

Charlie, you beat to it. Is this payback for something the parents did to you. My mother in law gave my son a drum set at age 2. It ‘broke’, suddenly. Nice job on the toy though. There is a toy that has a duck with wings that flap-quietly. That might be a good follow up

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and so little time!

Very nice workmanship . We all know that the art of clacker-making has been sorely neglected.

You clacker reminds me of the ones carried by the ancient Babylonians into battle

To instill fear and annoyance in their enemies . Nice gift…....and thought

Nice job. You can do some wild things when you think outside the box. Cool Idea.
