Note: Friction is required in the mast. No wax or fine sanding!

I have one of these that was was my dad’s aunt’s before she passed away. It is of Santa going down to a house chimney. It was one of my favorite things when I was younger! Thank you for sharing what you did :)

I love this project, reminds me of one I used to have. For the hole that goes around the mast, is it the same size as the dowel or is it approx 1/32” bigger?

Keelan, the hole is made with a bit of the same size as the dowel (3/8’’ in this case). Then, with a round file, adjust it to just be moving.
