I saw the plan for this table in September 2010 issue of Wood Magazine and decided it fit the bill to replace the items we had been using.
I used white oak for the top and base as well as oak ply for the two bottom shelfs.
I made a couple of changes with the top by adding bread board ends and lightly tapering them.
The stain is a water based “American Walnut” stain by MinWax. I have to say it is the worst stain I have ever used… Never again will I stray from “General Finishes” where water based is concerned.
The top coat is a water based poly gloss by Varathane.
I recently bought a touch up spray gun and used it for the top coat. I never thought finishing could be so easy. For a small investment of a air compressor and a spray gun, my turn around time on projects has been cut at least 75%.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the feedback.
Funny thing is when I first posted the pics I thought the last one you post will be the first one on display… go figure.
