A few days ago I saw this puzzle here on LumberJocks. After making a prototype, I was amazed that nobody could solve the puzzle (including myself). The string is attached through a hole in a handcut walnut dowel. This way the string around the wood is not glue soaked. The wood is steamed beech, and as always…no machines.

Nice job. Did you find a solution? The last guy that posted these said he would post it.

Good looking puzzles, I really like the different shapes. If you’re interested in the solution, here’s my blog post about it:

Cool shapes for these puzzles. I made mine out of the book 18 logic puzzles, whenever I forget or need a refresher I go to the library and grab it again.

I have one that was given to me probably 25 years ago. Mine is pretty crude though but the game is the same. I like these. good job.
