I just finished this table, it is part of my Zen series. I have been meditating recently and wanted to build a simple clean entry way table. The top is zebra and the base is fabricated steel. the finish on the wood is tung oil, on the steel rubied black and polished steel.

I don’t necessarily like certain species of wood with metal, but in my opinion, zebrawood is one of those species that can work well either with wood, or with metal, and you’ve done a nice job of illustrating that here.

I like the two different metals as well. The feet seem a little small compared to the legs, but that could just be the picture.

Very nice. Very creative. The metal and wood blend work well in this piece.
