Always wanted a lathe and was finally able to get one a couple of years ago, still have a lot to learn about turning. all of these started off as something else in my mind but after taking off too much here or there or an accidental gouge altered my original ideas a little.

Nice stuff, Larry.
That’s the great thing about turning… when you mess up your original idea you can always turn it into something else!

Looks real nice, Larry. I agree with Charlie. If i screw up a piece no one knows but me. They think it was suppose to be that way. I’ve been turning for a while and still learning. My problem is i don’t do it enough to get great at it. I jump around from the lathe to the Scrollsaw then making stuff for the boss.

thanks everyone, your right Charlie and its a good thing we can make it something else or my scrap pile would be huge hehehe. I’m still jumping around from one tool to the next Woodturner but at least now i have more time to spend at each, love working with the lathe but after some of the cutting boards I’v seen on here I think i might jump over to the table saw for a bit..

Hi Larry, you have some nice pieces here, looks like you had fun in the making also, no such thing as “mistakes” as aturner they are just “design improvements” & “adjustments” :)

If these are the boo-boos we all need to see the keepers.
