Trimline Pens made from Deer Antler in a gun metal finish. All three pens were made from the same antler but each has a unique characteristic.

Very nice…what finish did you use? I have some antler material that was given to me and have not decided what to do with it yet (I’ve thought of handles for boxes, drawer pulls….etc…etc). I may have to turn a pen/pencil set as those pens of yours really have a classy look.

Thanks for the comments. They turn somewhat like acrylics but can be a bit brittle. The biggest problem is the smell that comes from the antler when you are turning it. Smells like drilling teeth in a dentist office. I finished them with several coats of Canoacrylatre (CA) and progressively polished to12,000 grit.
