These are my first two end grain cutting boards. I wanted a little practice as I plan on making a bunch of these for gifts this year.
The first one is made from walnut, maple, yellowheart, and purpleheart. The second is maple and walnut and was the first board that I made.
I put rubber feet on both boards to keep water from sitting under the board. I also routed hand grooves on both boards. They are both about 1.25 inches thick. I finished these with a salad bowl finish cut 50% with mineral spirits.
