I made this sculpted box from Louisiana Cypress and Walnut. It took about 3-4 hours because I wanted to see how fast i could complete this if I just used butt joints instead of mitered corners. The finish is sprayed lacquer. The size is 9”x5”x 3”

Oh Greg, you just never cease to amaze me. Always new ideas, new woods, new swirls. Glad to see something of yours again. I don’t get here often anymore.

Great work in such a short amount of time. I like the lid overhang for the lift and the low spots in the lid corresponding to the grain pattern. Nice job.

4 hours? That is just about as amazing as the box itself. Nice work.

That is an awesome box. And as a fellow “CoonAss” good use of our Louisiana Cypress. Beautiful box!
