Custom Hickory Live Edge Table Top 7X 30”X1.5”
Made from 3 pieces joined together. Hand cut Walnut butterflys, Spar urethane finish. Top only. Customer is supplying their own legs.
I buy my logs from an Amish log yard, then mill the logs & dry the slabs before creating all kinds of pieces of this type. More can be seen in my ebay store or at my website. & Thanks, Ted.

Beautiful!! Are the butterfly inlays for decoration, or repair?

on the 12’ piece I put the butterflies every 40” on the joints & then everywhere there was a crack…. which was everywhere. On this one there was some checking on each end of each piece so they are functional, kind of…. The slabs are kiln dried so they are stable & wont crack any more. So they are for decoration too. Thanks, Ted.

Hi Tex,

The butterflies do they go all the way through the wood or only partially??

Love this Ted. The only thing I can say is that this table photo pales in comparison to the real deal. Ted- your work is wonderful and I love to see your stuff- espcially the live version! :)
