This is my second intarsia piece I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. My mother was kind enough to let me use her photographic skills and doctor it up into a woodworking piece. It contains roughly 75 pieces of paduak, walnut, brazilian cherry, pine, maple, ash, zebrawood, cork and a bit of sand. It has been very challenging, where you learn as you go, but overall a fun project and I plan to give it to my brother and sister-in-law as it is their girl this was created for.

this is a very nice composition for your second work .
the sense of movement and motion in your figure translated well .

Caught in mid-step , the figure seems to invite us to follow along
into an interesting landscape . ...........nice work .

good interpretation of the picture. Blue water is hard to show in wood. There is such a thing as blue wood but I can’t say how easy it is to find. I like your picture frame. I’ll be looking to see more from you.
