Project Information

Another "Doug Stowe" style box, this time for my girlfriend's mother. She said she needed a small box to put keys in at her desk. I decided to make the smaller one after seeing how much 1/2" oak I had leftover after making the bigger one. I figure she can use one to put the keys in and the other she can sit somewhere else on her desk.

Both boxes are made of oak and cedar was used for the miter keys and lid. They're finished with several coats of homemade danish oil, followed by a couple coats of past wax.

Thanks for looking!

David

GREAT lookin lil boxes. Those make great lil trinket boxes. They have a nice classic look to them. The splines really set them off! (The darker pieces on the corners or miter keys are splines right ?)

Rob, looks like two lids and one box to me. David, you need to go find the other of which ever one is missing. Boxes look great, loving the Stowe box style. Just looked him up and you nailed the style from what I can tell.
