My Dad had wanted a custom made cribbage board so we ordered the template and pegs from Rockler and then it sat in my shop for a few months. I couldn’t think of any good ways to dress up a cribbage board until I saw some really amazing boards online. I saw one board with an arrow pattern which I had done before so it was a great way to get a lot of different woods in the project. I used my router with a dovetail bit and straight bit to make a slot in the bottom for the pegs with a sliding cover. This one has Purpleheart, Tiger Maple, Walnut, Jatoba, Bloodwood, Monkeywood, Bocote, Padauk, and Yellowheart. It’s finished with 7 coats of a spray lacquer. It made for a great birthday present and he was very happy.

That’s beautiful Mike, I love the combination of woods.
