Project Information

Sofa Table has a patinized copper sheet for top. Added photos of the top to get a better idea of the patina. I got the chemicals from an Art chemical supplier online that had several selections that vary the outcome depending on the chemical combination. Mixed the chemicals with saw dust, layered it on the copper and then wrapped it in heavy mil plastic for about 2 weeks. Used epoxy to adhere the copper pannel to plywood to plywood substrate. Standard mortise and tenon joinery. Added warm cherry stain to the cherry wood and finished with Seal-a-cell and General Finishes Urethane.
