This is a wine hutch that we built a while back. I really like the ornamentation on it (ie. corbels and onlays) though I found that it complicate construction a bit. There is a good bit of unused space inside the cabinet below the top (about 12”). We thought about make it a hinged top and creating a usable cavity inside but in the end just opted with having be unused. We wanted to add the ornamentation because we are showing this piece off in our showroom. Anyone have any other ideas about utilizing that space?
It holds 15 bottles in total and the door hinges are push hinges which is why there are no knobs or pulls. The whole thing is knotty pine with kind of a antique finish going on which was used to really accent the carvings.

Mike,
We imported those carvings in from Asia, so yeah they are hand carved but not domestically.
