If you’re not familiar with amalgam mutts, there a type of pen blank made by a very talented chap in Texas well here’s his new range of blanks in larger size’s suitable for boxes and many other projects

2.5” tall x 2 3/8” wide

Ok ! My take is combining plastic resins with wood, Very cool Color Combinations & endless possibilities!!

Does this chap in Texas have a web site or a means to contact him? I’d like to see what is available in pen blanks as well as larger material.

You can contact the maker (Eugenen soto) via IAP where he sells in the classifieds section or via bear tooth woods who stock a selection of his blanks- the box size blanks are very new and he is still building up stock and trying diffrent material combinations etc so if you’d like the box size its best to contact him direct- here’s his email esoto70431@aol.com

I hope this isn’t against the rules- I’m not benefitting financially from giving out contact info – I’m just a very happy customer of both the mutt maker and Bear tooth woods

A great little turning George. I’m pretty sure I know how he makes the mutts (actually not too difficult) , but it is a very creative idea anyway and I won’t try to reveal it here and try to ruin his business.
