Here is another quick and easy project I just completed. A birdhouse key hanger. Made of pine for the house, and cedar for the eaves and shelves (I think it is cyprus cedar, not really sure to tell you the truth). My wife’s kitchen is birdhouses, so I wanted to make her something that she would like, and we really needed something to hang our keys on. The house is 10 inches wide (not including the eaves), by 15 inches tall.
Another one of those ‘made in an hour’ projects that is easy to do..

Nice rustic look to it. It’s fun to do a project you can complete quick, isn’t it?

Great Jamie/ Looks like Cypress Cedar.
Does it have a cedar smell?

Thanks guys.. Nothing spectacular… yet…
Karson, It does have a cedar smell. I figured it was cyprus cedar. I’ve got quite a bit of knotty pine and cyprus cedar that I really want to move out of my shop, so I have been trying to think of quick and easy projects to make with it. I’ve probably got about 500bf of the mix.
