Another box idea I’m working on.

Praises from wife. I guess I’ll make a couple and see if anyone else likes them.

It looks better in real life. Time to practice my photo skills.

I like the shape a lot. Distinctly Asian feel to it. What do you envision for the interior? How big is it? Keep making boxes!

I don’t know how you did it , but you caught me.

The interior is waiting inspiration.

I have in the past used flocking. Recently I’ve just been painting the interior. I also wandered around JoAnn Fabric looking at fabric for the interiors of boxes. No decision yet.

It’s about 6” by 6”. Not very big. It would look good on a hall table or maybe a sofa table.

Procrastination and I are close friends. :-)

Nice box, your design is classy, would like to see more pics. What kind of wood, and how did you make the cuts, etc, curious minds would like to know, keep up the good work, thanks for sharing

itsmic, You’re gonna laugh…

It’s cheap Lowe’s crown molding. My only cuts were miters, granted the lid was compound miters but still only miters. And, of course, the bottom cutout for the feet. Drill and band saw for that.

I spent some time with the stain and finish though.

My plan is to make more with some good cherry, walnut or some other fine wood molded to shape.

Have your say...
