Pencil Box #2 for my boss

My boss loves the whiteboard, and loves whiteboard markers, but can never find them. So I figured I would use up the rest of my stinky Zebrawood that I hate more than anything and will never use again, and make him a whiteboard marker box. I’ll fill it with markers before giving it to him.

All glue, and very thin wood this time. Miters done with 45degree bit on router table. Two coats of danish oil.

Like the box – wish I had a boss I liked enough to make a box for.

Bill.. if you gave your boss something like this, he might treat you differently. This is wonderful!

Like it or not it has radical grain that almost always looks good—as it does with your boss’s box.

Just came up on the roll the dice feature. That Zebrawood is beautiful. You did a wonderful job with it despite your apparent dislike of the wood . Did your Boss like it ?

Is there any correlation between the fact that you totally dislike the wood and it stinks, and, you deciding to use it for your boss’s gift? Interesting color. Nice miters.
