Yup, as you can see I had to use soup cans for “clamps” as well as clothes pins and only had the use of hand tools.

That is a good looking hurdy gurdy!
I can relate to building in a motel room…spent several years on the road installing switching equipment in telephone offices. I did airbrushing, instrument building, and R/C boats in the motel.
I found out my dremel tool would heat fiberglass resin to a point it will set off a smoke alarm.
I also found out, if you disconnect said smoke alarm, the front office will call REAL quick…
