This is a fairly simple bandsaw box but it was an experiment on a number of levels. First of all I wanted to test aniline dyes on a blotchy wood (pine). Secondly I wanted to try and cost how much I could produce a product made from cheap materials with a view to potentially selling it profitably (hopefully). My job situation was not on a stable footing at this point in time to put it mildly.
The end result was I was quite happy with the effect of the dyes, but with the time spent it would have been too expensive to sell even it was made from a 2 X 6. Fortunately my job situation was resolved. I admire anyone who has the courage and determination to make a career as a professional woodworker. Good luck to you!
