This is one of the very few King size murphy beds that I have built. I don’t publicize that I build them so only when I get a request will do it. The reason why is that I want my beds to go up and down without any effort. The king I just can’t do that. I have the piston position to gain as much mechanical leverage as possible and it still weights about 24 lbs. That’s not much, but I like it to be feather weight.
I completed it in January 2011. It is an Excalibur style. The funny thing is, as I was writing this and finding links and I built one just like it in June 2009 and is was sent out unfinished also.
It was built using maple wood. The face has raised panel doors and fluting down the sides.

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that this is the same style as that Mahogany one that I posted a few days ago.
