This is the finished compass rose. I would post a close up, but there are way to many errors for that. The next one will be better.

Great job. What kind of wood did you use for this?

The border is white oak, the rest is Cherry, Maple, some sort of green (but dry) looking wood I found in the scrap pile and Walnut.

Hey, it looks great to me! Try not to be so hard on yourself, but I think we all do that (my wife says I’m the worlds worst at it LOL). You can see your mistakes, but really your the only one that does.
